"Oooooh, she's too good to me"

Today is a simple, elegant day. I've enjoyed it very much, and it's nice to be home. I think I'm cooking dinner tonight. Something special:

seared and slow cooked brisket
london-broil style
with portabella mushrooms, parselied red potatoes, and flatbread.

Been almost too long since I've been in my kitchen. I've missed it badly, especially since the last time I was just cooking for myself. There's no joy in that, except when you get something just right. It feels like practicing, and I am a jazz musician in my kitchen, all improv and pizazz. Tomorrow, there will be the Lady to entertain and I can barely wait. I love that beautiful diva of mine so well. See you soon, Stormy-Eyes.
